The People Have Spoken
Mr. Madison, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for all that you do in trying to get the TRUTH out into the public. I see you quite often on the Ed Schultz Show, and 99.9% of the time I totally agree with you. I cannot believe how we've let the Republicans run our party into the dumpster, I really wish someone would tell me why we're not just furious with them (and the Tea Parties). I hear our Congressmen and women and Senators talking bout how angry they are but I just don't see it. I'm just ONE person, ONE small Democrat with no voice, I elect people to be my voice as do most people but right now I just don't feel like anyone is listening. I can scream and yell all I want about how we need to stop them in their tracks but it's not going to to matter. If the people that I voted for were really listening the Republicans and ESPECIALLY the Tea Parties wouldn't have the clout and power they have in controlling this administration. And Sarah Palin...why do we continually let these lies and trash spew from her mouth? The only thing that keeps me going is people like you, Ed, Keith, and Rachel. I really don't think little people like me would have ANY voice it it weren't for people like you. If only our representatives would take notes and follow your lead. Again, THANK YOU! Sincerely, David Johnson
Joe & Crew, First off, let me commend you for taking Glenn Beck to task on your show last week. You accomplished what I've only dreamed of doing. You proved that Beck is the scatter-brained sycophant that I always knew he was. I'm the regular fill-in host for progressive talker Nicole Sandler (formerly of Air-America) and I also do the Friday show on her Ustream channel ( http://www.ustream.tv/channel/radio-or-not ) If possiblre, I'd like to schedule an interview with Joe on Thursday (9-2-10) or Friday (9-3-10) this week. We broadcast from 6-8 PM EDST. I will gladly accommodate your schedule. The Black Eagle is officially my favorite Super-Hero... For exposing Beck and bringing full attention to his lunacy. I just finished breaking down Joe's interview with Beck interview into 5 short audio segments. It would be fascinating to get Joe's commentary on the clips. Please let me know if you want the MP3's and I'll send them to you. Lastly, I find it fascinating that Beck openly admitted ignorance of "Racial Politics" while he's been race baiting for nearly a decade. Again, I can't express my gratitude to Joe for exposing Beck and his ill-informed view of the Civil Rights Movement. Joe's 8 minute interview is more telling than every hour Beck has ever recorded. Again, great job. Take care, Ken Picklesimer
Mr. Madison:
You and Sherry did a GREAT with the summit (Race and Justice Summit). It was more powerful than I could have imagined. I'm in tears as I write this letter to you. However, I have taken action on a local level and you should see a forward from me to Mark Winnie of wsbtv.
I am of the opinion that if one is not prepared to give his or her life for a friend. i.e. those captives in bondage then living in vain. You know me as Jerome from Atlanta and I often call your show with a constant refrain about the prosecution of the Chaney/Bush Administration.I have a B.S. degree in criminal justice and I have been in the system both as an officer of the law and as an inmate so I know both sides of the prison industrial complex. Next week I am going to go through the process of a legal name. I have chosen Crispus Attucks as my new name because I'm getting ready to start some S--T here in the Georgia. As the late Reverend Franklin might have said, this Eagle formerly know as Jerome is getting ready to stir the nest.
I'm going to invite you to Linked In. A powerful website that most Professionals use now because Face Book is getting too congested I hope you will come.
Thanks for all you do. Pee dee Green aint got nothing on you Brother Madison
Great show (Race and Justice Summit) yesterday on justice. That's a very deep topic in our community.

I stumbled across your program this morning and was simply captivated by your program. As a white social worker, mother to an African-American daughter, and social activist, the issues and topics you raise are not new to me but rare to hear discussed in my world outside of classrooms or late night discussions. How wonderful and refreshing it is to hear the points of view discussed on your program, and how important they are to people who may not realize what’s going on outside of their personal existence. Keep up the great work – I know I’ll be listening from now on! Best Regards, Crystal
I listen to your show every morning on my way to work. I like the way you conrol your audience. You are the man. I have tried to call in and I can never get through. I saw you on CNN I liked your comment about your audience and their perspective. Keep up the good work!! Ms. Carol White a True Fan
YOUR PROGRAM IS GREAT!!!!!!!! Mr Madison, I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoy listening in to your show. My late husband, Rev. Louis Coleman was a great admirer of you and your work as well as a great friend to Bro. Dick Gregory who came to Louisville, Ky. quite often to assist Rev. with various problems & fittingly came to do his eulogy. I wish Rev. was here now that we have access to the station you broadcast from. I know he would really enjoy it. I am attempting to assist with the work of the Justice Resource Center, the agency he directed & I often take my cue & strength from your broadcast. Louisville, Ky. needs you & Bro Gregory. God Bless you & your family and Keep up the good work, so the people can continue to hear the true facts. Ms. Coleman
Dear Mr. Madison, The end part of your show, today, was all I heard, but you referred to earlier mentioning having, occasionally, depression and self-doubt. That just meant a lot to me, for you to share ('radical honesty' I call it) The passion and truth in your voice is the lifeblood of mornings. You galvanize peoples' energy, more than any other radio host. We all worry about you when something seems wrong or if you seem off or down. After your surgery we all worried about you. We all need you, always, no matter if you're up or down or depressed or self-doubting, or on top of the world. However you are, we need your voice. I think this is annoying of me maybe, because you were talking about a momentary thing, and I don't mean to blow it out of proportion by writing you in response. Mr. Madison, to use a simple chemistry analogy I thought of recently, your voice adds 'atoms' to listening minds and creates new molecules. If, waking up, I'm two atoms of hydrogen, then I turn on the radio and your voice adds one atom of oxygen... voila! H2O! Water of life starts flowing in my thoughts. How can a listener thank you for that inspiration and creativity, especially now when everything is so hard to understand and follow, with the financial crisis etc., I'm struggling trying to understand the news these days more than I ever have before, and need your delineation and interpretation. I'm definitely a 'goat'! Thank you, Karen Kenworthy
Madison; I want you to know that I enjoy your show and will do my best to get and stay involved. We need people like you, Reverend Sharpton, Warren Ballentine and Roland Martin. Again thanks for your work. Regards, Stephen Hall
